$2 Million Donation from Rush Limbaugh Helps Tunnel to Towers Pay Off Six Mortgages

UPDATE 7/29: Rush Limbaugh announced this morning the portion of the proceeds benefiting Tunnel to Towers has now reached $3 million.

Legendary radio host Rush Limbaugh donated $2 million from the sales of his official Betsy Ross t-shirt to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the amount is still rising.

“This shirt became a vehicle for people to push back it is one of the most uplifting things that I have been involved in because this is the American people generating enough revenue to be able to send 1.5 million dollars to the Tunnel to Towers foundation,” Limbaugh said during an appearance on Fox & Friends.

On July 23, it was Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller on Fox & Friends and announced it would use that gift to pay off the mortgage on the homes of six widows of American Heroes.

“These great Americans put their lives on the line for us every single day, so not only are they reaching out to the goodness of America, because of this money donated to the Tunnel for Towers foundation, we’re taking care of the greatness of America, these people who serve our country,” said Siller.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the mortgages on the homes of:

“Thanks to the generosity of Rush and Kathryn, and the listeners of the Rush Limbaugh Show, six widows and 23 children who have lost their husbands and fathers can rest a little easier knowing they own their homes free and clear,” Siller added.

Since 2015, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Fallen First Responder Home Program has ensured 40 first responder families with young children have been able to stay in their homes.

There is still more work to be done. Our first responders and our men and women in uniform continue to put their lives at risk every single day.

By donating just $11 per month, you can make sure the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is able to help the next family who suffers the sudden and tragic death of a loved one in the line of duty.
