The Tunnel to Towers NEVER FORGET Walk Begins

Sunday, August 1, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation kicked off the NEVER FORGET Walk to honor the fallen of 9/11 and commemorate the 20th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The over 500-Mile Walk began at Arlington Fire Station 5 with the course route spanning over 500 miles from Washington, D.C. to the site of Ground Zero in NYC. Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller passes through six states over the course of six weeks to honor the 2,977 who lost their lives on 9/11 and the heroism of our first responders.

On August 1, Siller and his family hosted a private wreath laying ceremony at the Pentagon. Afterwards, the walk officially kicked off with a press conference at Arlington Fire Station 5 featuring Siller, Tunnel to Towers program recipients, lawmakers and first responders. Over 400 supporters then joined Siller in walking 12.3 miles from Arlington Fire Station 5 to the D.C. Armory, where the Foundation hosted a barbecue.
