Tunnel to Towers to Pay off Mortgage Held on Fallen Los Angeles County Firefighter’s Home

Jonathan Flagler was killed in the line of duty on January 6, 2022

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is honored to announce it has taken on the mortgage held on the family home of fallen Los Angeles County Firefighter Jonathan Flagler

Firefighter Flagler, 47, was killed while battling a house fire in Rancho Palos Verdes on January 6, 2022.

He had worked as a firefighter for twenty-one years, serving the city of Vernon for nineteen years before moving to the Los Angeles County Fire Department in October 2020.

Firefighter Flagler is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons.

“For more than twenty years, Firefighter Flagler put his life on the line to protect the people of Los Angeles County. We are so grateful for his heroism and his service. While we can never replace what his family has lost, we are honored to provide some financial relief to Jennifer and her boys through this mortgage payoff,” said Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Fallen First Responder Home Program pays off the mortgages for the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty, leaving behind young children.
