Tunnel to Towers Pays Off Mortgages for Fallen Alabama First Responders

 McAdory Fire Chief and Cedar Bluff Police Sergeant have mortgages paid off as part of Tunnel to Towers’ 4th Annual Season of Hope

 

 The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is proud to announce it has paid, in-full, the mortgages on the homes of McAdory Fire Chief Jeffrey Wyatt and Cedar Bluff Police Sergeant Christopher Vaughn as part of its annual Season of Hope Campaign.

Tunnel to Towers’ Season of Hope, celebrates the holiday season by lifting the financial burden of a mortgage from the families of fallen first responders, Gold Star families, and catastrophically injured veterans around the country.

On April 4, 2022 McAdory Fire Chief Jeffrey Wyatt died of a heart attack after working a shift at his firehouse.

Wyatt had served as a volunteer for McAdory Fire from 1988-2006 where he earned the rank of Volunteer Fire Chief. Shortly after he completed recruit school as the Fire Chief of McAdory. Jeffrey proudly served the community for a total of 34 years. He is survived by his wife Katie Ryals along with their four children.

Cedar Bluff Police Sergeant Christopher Michael Vaughn passed away after a medical accident while on duty on April 1, 2022. He had served with the Cedar Bluff Police Department for six years and previously served with the Leesburg Police Department for seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Ariel Henderson, and their two children.

This year alone, Tunnel to Towers will deliver over 200 mortgage-free homes across the country to America’s heroes and their families.
