The Battle on the Beach Returns: Thrilla in Camilla IX is Friday, June 13th

FDNY Boxing Club vs Garda Boxing team of the Irish National Police Service

ROCKAWAY BEACH, NEW YORK [June 13, 2025] – The FDNY Boxing Club will square off against members of the Irish National Police Service at the ninth annual Thrilla in Camilla on Friday, June 13th. First responder fighters from across the pond will join our homegrown heroes in 12 bouts of intense competition. Additional fighters from the New York Department of Sanitation and the Massport, Massachusetts Fire Department, will also participate in the ring.

All fights will take place outside at St. Camillus Church, 185 Beach 99 St. Rockaway Beach, New York.

The FDNY Boxing Club has raised $250,000 for Tunnel to Towers with electrifying, family-friendly events! The club’s motto is “We will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime, as long as it’s for a good cause.” The Tunnel to Towers Foundation provides mortgage-free homes to our nation’s injured veterans, Gold Star families, and fallen first responder families.

Supporters can expect to see several familiar faces on fight night from the FNDY Boxing Club. James Gennari and Sean Dillon are no strangers to the ring or the foundation’s mission. Gennari, a USMC veteran, has had the opportunity to fight for his country both on the battlefield and at home.

Join us on June 13th as these boxers showcase their athleticism and patriotism for a great cause! Tickets are available now at FDNY Boxing.

The FDNY Boxing Club is comprised of active-duty members of the FDNY and EMS, who train on their own time. Established in 1982, FDNY Boxing has spent 40 years raising funds for worthwhile charities through spirited competition.
