Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Hosts 353rd Civil Affairs Command Holiday Party

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation hosted the 353rd Civil Affairs Command holiday party for the soldiers and their families last weekend, kicking off the festivities with a toy drive delivered by none other than Santa Claus himself.

On Sunday, December 3rd at the South Fin Grill on Staten Island, Santa and Mrs. Claus thrilled service member’s children with toys, pictures and fun. Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller and Director of Building for America’s Bravest John Ponte were presented with ceremonial swords to honor their service to the 353rd. The 353rd Civil Affairs Command organizes, trains, and equips assigned Civil Affairs forces to mobilize, deploy and conduct civil military operations. With over 2,000 soldiers, the Command is trained to work alongside international organizations, military forces and the civilian populace.

The 353rd is located at Fort Wadsworth, New York and is currently supporting military operations in Africa and Afghanistan.
