Words from our Heroes

“There were nights I cried asking for God to help me. I didn’t want to lose my home. A caseworker gave me T2T’s information and I reached out. I was overjoyed when you called. Keep doing amazing work. Keep lifting the hearts, hands and arms of our Veterans.” -Anita, Florida
“This journey has been one to always remember. From moving from hotel to hotel, to being in a vehicle, it has definitely been something myself and my family will never forget. And having Tunnel to Towers help myself and my family, has been such a great experience, with how everyone just cared, and were eager to help with my current situation of just being homeless, is something I will forever cherish for the rest of my life. God bless you all for all the hard work and dedication that each and every one of you put in for veterans such as myself. Your work will forever be noticed!” -Ama, North Carolina
“True to their word, Tunnel to Towers remained unwaveringly committed to our cause. After seven months of moving our family of four children, my wife and myself between Airbnb’s and hotel rooms, our relief and joy upon unloading our belongings into our new home was palpable. For the first time I was able to tell my children that the era of relocation was over, and witnessing their tears of joy and realization that we finally had a stable home was a profoundly moving moment. Tunnel to Towers is undoubtedly the finest veteran organization I have ever encountered. With their unwavering commitment to leaving no family behind, it serves as a testament to their dedication.” -James, Georgia
“You have all made a significant difference in my life and my children’s safety and well-being. I’m forever grateful.” -Glenda, California
“Providing us the space to be held up while we transitioned into our new space is the most compassionate thing one can do for another.” -K.G., Texas
“You guys stepped in and did whatever necessary to make sure this veteran and her family were not going to become homeless and because of your love, professionalism and dedication we didn’t!” -Joyce, Tennessee
“It is because of you Veterans are allowed to heal and enjoy life again. God Bless.” -Matthew, Florida
“Your unwavering support throughout this entire process has been nothing short of amazing. From your prompt responses and clear communication to your genuine kindness and understanding, you have gone above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard and supported every step of the way. The assistance I have received from you and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has made an immense difference in my life. I am incredibly humbled by your generosity and dedication to helping veterans like myself. Your commitment to our well-being is truly inspiring and deeply appreciated. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.” -Mary, California
“I was on the verge of losing my home. I’m a single parent that doesn’t have help. I was told about this organization but I expected to not be helped…my children and I are still in our home and happy all thanks to this organization. Thank you all and God Bless!” -Torri, Mississippi
“I will share my experience with other Veterans in my community. You all are a class act and we need more organizations like yours across the nation.” -Carl, Georgia
“T2T is substantially responsible for changing the trajectory of my entire existence during my experience with homelessness.” -Alvin, North Carolina
“I am a female Purple Heart recipient. I had never experienced homelessness until 4 months ago. I always paid my bills. I found myself homeless when I allowed the wrong person in my life. I was living in hotels or camping with 3 dogs that are my only source of emotional support. Tunnel to Towers assisted me with my security deposit for a rental home. My dogs now have a huge yard where they can romp around. I would still be living in my car if it weren’t for Tunnel to Towers. They were in contact with me from the get go. They worked with my landlord and me. I cannot thank Tunnel to Towers enough. I am so grateful for the assistance they provide!” -Stephanie, Arizona
“I hope that you all realize the amazing work that we do collectively and it can only be accomplished as a team. Thank you for all that you do because what you have done has changed the life of someone who was hidden and dismissed time and time again.” -Miquell, North Carolina
“Thank you so much for working on my case. You have truly averted me from being homeless and I have so much gratitude for all your hard work… I cannot express enough how your job dedication and determination put me in a much better frame of mind knowing I still have a roof over my head and I’m beginning to piece back together my life. Once again, this Veteran thanks you so much.” -Samuel, New Jersey

National Case Management Network

In addition to our Veterans Villages, which address homelessness in key metro-areas, the Tunnel to Towers Homeless Veteran Program assists veterans and their families across the nation, no matter their location.

Our National Case Management Network currently provides housing assistance and access to necessary supportive services in nearly every state. This internal team of case managers, housing and employment coordinators, and behavioral health specialists are dedicated to working with veterans to determine their immediate housing needs, finding safe and dignified accommodations, and rapidly providing them with housing accommodations.

After our veterans and their families are housed, our team then works to determine their immediate psychological, financial, and emotional needs. Our team has built a national network of over 1,000 public and private organizations, VA agents, attorneys, landlords, mental health counselors, financial counselors, and large-scale employers. This rapidly-growing network allows our team to be able to address each veteran’s specific issues, to ensure they can sustain their new housing accommodations while working towards achieving their long-term objectives.

Our Program’s goal is to help homeless veterans reintegrate into their community, as well as provide veterans who are at-risk of becoming homeless with the support they need to not backslide into homelessness.

The Homeless Veteran Program provides assistance to Homeless Veterans in some of the following ways:

Temporary Hotel Accommodations
Move-in Assistance (1st Month’s Rent, Security Deposit, Broker Fees, & Application Fees)
Basic Needs Assistance (Food & Child Care Supplies)
Transportation Assistance
Rental Arrears Assistance
