On June 8, 2022 United States Marine Corps Corporal Seth Dean Rasmuson sustained fatal injuries during training after he was involved in a MV-22B Osprey Crash near Glamis, California.

Rasmuson was born in Rapid City, South Dakota but was raised in Buffalo, Wyoming. He grew up fishing and hunting in the Bighorn Mountains with his father, brothers, and friends. He played baseball and hockey while attending Buffalo High School before enlisting in the Marines immediately after his 18th birthday.

His first duty station was at Camp Pendleton, California where he reported to the Purple Foxes, Marine Air Group 39 starting his career as an Osprey Crew Chief. In April of 2021, Rasmuson was deployed to the Middle East for six months. He earned his Combat Wings on this deployment for his service in Saudi Arabia and Djibouti.

Marine Corps Corporal Seth Dean Rasmuson is survived by his wife, Avery, and their son, Reed.
