U.S. Army Specialist Jordan Schumann was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
On July 5, 2011, SPC Schumann, 24, was killed in Paktia province, Afghanistan, after his Humvee struck a massive improvised explosive device.
SPC Schumann earned an EMT certification from Florida Medical Training Institute in Melbourne, FL, after graduating from high school. He then enlisted in the Army.
He left behind his wife, Sarah, who at the time of his death was pregnant with their son Tristan.
