Jacob Alan Hess

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jacob Hess lost his life when his military vehicle rolled over during a pre-deployment training exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana on May 15, 2019. 

The 34-year-old left behind his wife Jessica, and their five daughters, Crystin, Zoey, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Everest. 

Jessica is going back to school for her Masters in Social work with a focus on working with the military. 

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the mortgage on the family’s home in North Carolina in honor of Memorial Day.
