Line of Duty Death: March 2011

Frank E. Adamski III joined the Army in March 2005.  After basic, he was stationed in Friedberg, Germany, attached to the 1/36th  Infantry, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division. He arrived at Fort Benning, where he was a javelin instructor from July 2007 to May 2009. Adamski then was stationed at Fort Campbell, in April 2009. Two years later, in March of 2011, Adamski died of wounds from a small arms fire in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.

Frank’s goal was to provide his family with a better life while serving his country. He was an exceptional man, both in his personal life and his military life. So much more than “just” a soldier he was a natural-born leader and everyone knew and respected him. With the best sense of humor and smile that you just could not ignore!

His awards and decorations from his service include Bronze Star Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; NATO Medal, Parachutist Badge; Air Assault Badge and Combat Infantryman Badge.
