On December 31, 2022, United States Army Staff Sergeant and United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Daniel Damon Orr passed away due to service-related cancer. He served a total of 19 honorable years.

Orr was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. His childhood was very fun, loving, and carefree. His family was immensely supportive, with him being the youngest of ten, he had many role models to look up to and watch over him. Orr had many friends to play with in soccer, track, and around the neighborhood. He loved being outside any chance he could get. The Orr family were very active participants in their local church and community. Orr and his future wife, Heather, crossed paths while floating down the Salt River in Arizona. They instantly connected and were married just four months later.

With his lifelong dream of joining the military, Orr joined the Army in 2002 and served 15 years before joining the Air Force where he served for four years. He loved everything about it – the people he met, being part of a team, traveling, and serving his country. Throughout his career, Orr served two tours in Iraq and two tours in South Korea.

Heather currently lives in the home she and her husband purchased in 2011 while he was deployed in Iraq. She loves to spend time with her four children, attending their events and activities, working out, and being with her family. Heather is a mental health therapist specializing in trauma with many military clients. In the future, she is most excited to watch her children, Hayden, Addison, Nathanael, and Madelyn, continue to grow. Heather would like others to know that Orr lived his life to serve others and knew how to love deeply. He was the best husband, father, and friend to all of those who knew him.

United States Army Staff Sergeant and United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Daniel Damon Orr leaves behind his wife, Heather, and his children, Hayden, Addison, Nathanael, and Madelyn.
