Line of Duty Death: July 29, 2019
U.S. Army Private First Class Brandon Jay Kreischer of the 82nd Airborne Division was killed in an ambush in Afghanistan on July 29, 2019.
Kreischer, a Stryker, Ohio native, had dreamed of enlisting in the Army since childhood.
He leaves behind his wife, Grace, and their son Callum, who was born five months after his father was killed in action in December 2019.
“Brandon and I dreamed of creating our own happy and secure family, and while one-third of that dream died in Afghanistan, I am looking forward to being able to create a brighter future for Callum with a place where he can be proud of his father,” said Grace Kreischer.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the Kreischer family mortgage in March 2021.
