United States Army Sergeant • Line of Duty Death: December 9, 2020

United States Army Sergeant Adam Charles Robinson passed away on December 9, 2020 after contracting COVID-19 while in the line of duty and experiencing complications with a service-related illness.

In his adult life, Robinson loved anything having to do with the outdoors. He frequently partook in gardening, fishing, hunting, boating, hiking, and traveling to and exploring new places. An avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, football was his favorite sport. In August of 2005, while on his first deployment, Robinson and his future wife, Stacie, met and shared an undeniable connection. The pair married in April of 2007 and began their beautiful life together.

Having come from a family of military service, Robinson knew his calling was to join the US Army. Upon enlisting on January 29, 1999, he was stationed in Alaska and loved every second of it. He was a mentor to many and a great man with a disposition fit for leadership. With his driven personality, Robinson loved the opportunity for hands-on learning in the military and the ability to see new areas of the United States, as well as the relationships he made with his fellow brothers and sisters. Throughout his eleven years of honorable service, Robinson served two deployments in Iraq and one deployment at border control. He also received a plethora of awards, decorations, and commendations, including an Iraq Campaign Medal with two stars, two Army Commendation Medals, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, two Army Good Conduct Medals, and an Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, among many others. In addition to his military career, he also served as a Correctional Officer for the state of Wisconsin for over 18 years. During his last deployment to Iraq in 2009 and 2010, Robinson was heavily exposed to burn pits, which led to asthma and issues with his lungs. Years later, while working as a Correctional Officer, he contracted COVID-19 while in the line of duty. After a twelve-day fight in the ICU, Robinson passed away.

Stacie currently resides in Wisconsin with her three youngest children. She would like to thank her mother, Nancy Allen, for being a pillar in her support system during the most difficult time of her life. In her free time, Stacie enjoys hiking, gardening, painting, traveling, fishing, and spending invaluable time with her family. She worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for a decade, however, after her beloved husband’s passing, Stacie was diagnosed with a tumor on her pancreas. After treatments, she was advised to retire from her job because of her weakened immune system. In the future, Stacie is excited to continue to watch her children grow, succeed, and accomplish their goals. Receiving support from Tunnel to Towers is allowing Stacie and her children to remain in their home, which she is eternally grateful for. Finally, she would like others to know that her husband was an amazing man who was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a leader through life, whom others looked up to. He loved his family and his career, was funny, lovable, and serious when he needed to be.

United States Army Sergeant Adam Charles Robinson is survived by his loving wife, Stacie, and his six beautiful children, Charlie, Kaitlynne, Austin, Logan, Hailey and Lucas.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage of the Robinson family home through the Gold Star Family Home Program.
