Dallas Police Officer Mitchell Aaron Penton died in the line of duty on February 13, 2021, when a drunk driver slammed into him while he was standing outside his patrol vehicle at the scene of another crash.
Penton had served with the Dallas Police Department for two years and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
Penton is survived by his wife, Noel, and their two children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has purchased a mortgage-free home for the Penton family as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
