Austin Police Officer Lewis Andy Traylor passed away on July 28, 2021, succumbing to injuries sustained in a vehicle crash three days earlier while responding to an emergency call for service.
Traylor, 37, was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served with the Austin Police Department for nine years.
Traylor is survived by his wife, Melissa, and his five children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage on the Traylor family’s home as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
