Federal Bureau of Prisons, Florida ● Line of Duty Death: September 11, 2021

Federal Bureau of Prisons Senior Officer Justin Joslyn passed away on September 11th, 2021 from complications as a result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.

Joslyn began his law enforcement career with the Department of Public Safety at the Pamlico Correctional Facility in North Carolina in 2012. He worked there for seven years before relocating to Florida to work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2020. Joslyn graduated with honors from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center with the intention to be a part of the education department. Joslyn’s favorite aspect of his career was that he was able to make a difference in people’s lives. 

Joslyn loved spending time wrestling with his youngest son Zachariah, debating and discussing the world with his oldest son Alexander, and watching football and cuddling with his daughter Lilliana.

Federal Bureau of Prisons Senior Officer Justin Joslyn is survived by his wife of over ten years, Chantel, and their three children, Alexander, Zachariah, and Lilliana.
