Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan David Price died in the line of duty on January 6, 2021, from injuries received in an automobile accident while on duty. His patrol car collided with another vehicle at an intersection and both Deputy Price and the other driver were killed.
Born in Dallas, TX, Price, 29, had served with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office for three months and the Dillon Police Dept. for three years.
Price is survived by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth, and their three young children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has purchased a mortgage-free home for the Price family as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
