Master Patrol Officer Jesse Madsen, 45, sacrificed himself to save others when he heroically veered his police cruiser into the path of a wrong-way driver.
He was a 16-year veteran of the Tampa Police Department and was a highly decorated officer with multiple police life-saving awards.
A United States Marine combat veteran, he is survived by his wife Danyelle and their three children.
