Omaha Fire Department, Nebraska • Line of Duty Death: June 12, 2019
Omaha Fire Department Engineer Jeremy P. Knott died in the line of duty on June 12, 2019, due to a medical emergency after working a shift. Knott, 35, was hired on to the Omaha Fire Department when he was 23-years old. While in the Department, he went on to earn his Paramedic License and was ultimately promoted to Fire Apparatus Engineer.
Knott is survived by his wife, Ashley, and his son.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage on the Knott family’s home as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
