San Bernardino Sergeant Dominic Vaca died in the line of duty on May 31, 2021, when he was shot and killed following a vehicle pursuit of a motorcycle in Yucca Valley.
Vaca, 43, had served with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for 17 years.
Vaca is survived by his wife, Valerie, and his two children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage on the Vaca family’s home as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
