Spokane County Fire Lieutenant Cody Scott Traber passed away on August 26, 2021, while responding to a reported brush fire.
Traber, 41, climbed onto the Wandermere Bridge to get a better vantage point of the brush fire before tragically falling to his death.
At the time of his death, Traber was an 18-year veteran of the Spokane County Fire Department.
Traber is survived by his wife, Allisyn, and his four children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage on the Traber family’s home as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
