FDNY Firefighter Christopher A. Carney passed away on August 13, 2021, after a lengthy lung and colon cancer battle.
Carney was with Ladder 117 in Queens and was also an ex-captain of Southside Ladder No. 2, Hempstead Fire Department.
Firefighter Christopher A. Carney, 37, is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and his two children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage on the Carney family’s home as part of its 2021 Season of Hope initiative.
