Line of Duty Death: March 10, 2020
Hot Springs Police Officer Brent Scrimshire was shot and killed in the line of duty while conducting a traffic stop on March 10, 2020.Â
The 33-year-old was a six-year veteran of the Hot Springs Police Department.Â
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, and their two children, Wyatt and Riverlynn.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the mortgage on their Arkansas home thanks in part to a donation made by someone who knows what it is like to lose a loved one in the line of duty firsthand – Tunnel to Towers Ambassador Cindy Chesna.Â
Cindy’s husband, Weymouth Police Officer Michael Chesna was shot and killed in the line of duty in 2018. Tunnel to Towers paid off her mortgage and she has been determined to pay that gift forward.
