Breaking Ground: Tunnel to Towers Foundation Brings Mission to Eliminate Veteran Homelessness to Bayville, New Jersey

Groundbreaking Ceremony set for May 7 at 11:00 AM

BAYVILLE, NEW JERSEY [May 7, 2025] — On May 7, join the Tunnel to Towers Foundation as it aims to eradicate veteran homelessness in Bayville, New Jersey, by breaking ground on its newest Veterans Village at 539 Atlantic City Blvd.

When completed in 2026, the Bayville Veterans Village will feature 98 single-occupancy apartments and 24 stand-alone comfort homes exclusively for America’s veterans.

Tunnel to Towers knows that a home is not enough to break the cycle of homelessness. The ground floor of the Bayville Veterans Village apartment complex will offer wrap-around support services, including job training, legal services, benefits assistance, education assistance, and mental health support and counseling.

The complex will also have a gym, workforce development center, multipurpose room, game room, and lounges.

The location is also strategically located near the new VA hospital in Toms River, so residents can easily access VA services.

In 2022, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched the Homeless Veteran Program, a new national campaign to eradicate veteran homelessness nationwide. This program provides a stable home and a wide range of needed services to diagnose and solve the root causes of veteran homelessness, addressing a veteran’s specific emotional, financial, and physical needs.

To date, Tunnel to Towers has provided housing assistance and access to supportive services to over 10,000 veterans and their families throughout Veterans Villages across the country and the National Case Management Network.

Tunnel to Towers believes no veteran should live on the streets of the nation they signed up to protect.

The Foundation’s Homeless Veteran Program currently provides housing to veterans in Houston, TX, Riverside, CA, West Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, and Phoenix, AZ. Tunnel to Towers is creating housing for veterans in twenty other cities, including Memphis, TN, Denver, CO, Charleston, SC, Buffalo, NY, and Harrisburg, PA.
