The Tunnel to Towers Foundation would like to extend their deepest condolences to the family of John Hudson Dilgen, who passed away after his lifelong battle with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
In 2018, the Foundation gifted John a mortgage-free smart home in Staten Island, New York.
Born with EB, a rare genetic condition, John dedicated his life to becoming a passionate and charismatic advocate for children and adults living with the disease. His powerful voice and dedication to raising awareness made a lasting impact.
In recognition of his efforts and passion, John was named one of Staten Island’s most influential people in 2016 and was later sworn in as an Honorary FDNY Firefighter.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has so much love for John, and we will cherish all of the times we spent together. Our prayers and support are with his family and loved ones. John will always be a part of us, and we will keep him close to our hearts.
