On April 9th, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation brought its mission to eradicate veteran homelessness to Jacksonville, Florida, by transforming a former hotel into housing for America’s heroes.
Part of the Homeless Veteran Program, Tunnel to Towers Veterans Villages deliver more than just housing—they also offer on-site comprehensive support services, including job training, benefits and education assistance, access to medical and mental health care, and addiction treatment to address the root causes of homelessness among veterans.
The Foundation will convert a former hotel into 125 low-cost apartments, as well as 18 comfort homes for veterans to occupy. Each unit will feature brand new flooring, fixtures, appliances, and furniture, providing veterans with a safe, independent place to live.
