As a high school senior, Bailie Frey is enrolled in her school’s Senior Project course, in which students are prepared for college and real-life endeavors by challenging them to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world project. Bailie’s senior project involves her planning a golf tournament that she has the responsibility of organizing herself and seeing it come to fruition.

A prestigious course, the Senior Project course requires students to write a collegiate-level paper, create a professional portfolio, and present their project to a panel of judges. Most importantly, students must complete a project of their choice that will help them discover their passions. Fueled by ambition, Bailie knew she wanted to pursue the Senior Project course early in her high school career. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to create a project that not only would challenge her, but also allow her to give back to her community in her own way. With the help of her mentors, she has been learning valuable skills that will benefit her as she transitions into adulthood.

Having grown up in a household of first responders, as well as being close with other first responders in her town, Bailie has been taught the importance of patriotism, gratitude for her country, and a deep respect for those who protect and serve. Although she was born six years after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, she has felt a connection to the sacrifices made on that day and the days following. Hearing stories of 9/11 as she grew into a young adult has deepened her admiration for first responders and members of the military. At 18 years old, Bailie is proud to be in a position in which she can give back to American heroes. She has decided to donate one hundred percent of her proceeds from her senior project to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

To date, Bailie has raised over $30,000 in support of her senior project and golf tournament, which will benefit Tunnel to Towers in our mission to “do good,” and “Never Forget.”

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation would like to thank Bailie for her generous donation and support of our mission. Her prosperity will undoubtedly aid in her successful future.
