On February 1st, 2022, Captain Matthew Brabo passed away in the line of duty.
Brabo began his career as a firefighter in 2001 with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Throughout his extensive career, Brabo worked with the Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit and the Tehama-Glenn Unit while being assigned at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Training Center. He went on to work for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for 20 years, and had been at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection training center since 2016.
Captain Matthew Brabo is Survived by his wife, Abbey, and their daughters, Emerson and Sloane.
