HOME COMPLETED - June, 2017

On February 9th, 2012, while on a dismounted patrol in Afghanistan, Cpl. Timothy Donley encountered the enemy. Shortly after he warned his men that they were being watched, an improvised explosive device was detonated.

As a result of the explosion, Timothy suffered the loss of both legs above the knee. His right arm, elbow and hands sustained injury, including severe nerve damage.

Throughout his recovery, Timothy has been blessed with the support of his family, friends and church community. A smart home will have a very positive impact on Timothy’s day-to-day life.

“My family has lived overseas since before I was born and has rented homes and apartments in many locations. With a smart home I will have a specific location to live and function from. I can be independent in a smart home and concentrate on going back to school and finding a job that I love rather than just expending all my energy ‘surviving’.”

Timothy and his wife Kelly received a smart home in June of 2017.
