9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit Visits Farris Middle School

The students and faculty of Farristown Middle School in Berea, KY honored the fallen of Sept. 11 when the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit visited their school this past October.

Students listened intently as New York City firefighter Tommy Lonegan shared his experiences of that fateful day. Lonegan is one of many firefighters, currently active and retired, who travel around the country with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower Foundation‘s Mobile Exhibit, the high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer, which transforms into a 1,000 square foot exhibit. The Exhibit serves as a tool to further educate Americans about the event and the impact it has had since. The accompanying firefighters serve as guides and are eyewitnesses to history, sharing their unique perspectives with the public.

The Mobile Exhibit was created to pay homage to the tremendous heroism exhibited by New York City firefighter Stephen Siller and all his first responder brothers and sisters lost on and since 9/11. This was the first time the Exhibit has visited Kentucky, increasing its reach to 35 states and Canada.

To date, over 350,000 people have toured the exhibit.
