The Tunnel to Towers Foundation proudly sponsored and attended the FOX Nation seventh annual Patriot Awards on Thursday, November 6 at the Tilles Center for Performing Arts in Brookville, New York. Hosted by Long Island native and FOX News personality Sean Hannity, the Patriot Awards recognized and honored everyday heroes, including first responders and military veterans, among others.

This year, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation presented the T2T Stephen Siller Courage Award to fallen Binghamton, New York City Fire Department Firefighter John “JR” Gaudet. His widow, Felly, accepted the award on his behalf. 

Firefighter Gaudet lost his life on February 12, 2025 after sustaining injuries from an accident while in the line of duty. While responding to a fire, a wall collapsed, trapping him in the burning debris. Although he was rescued, he succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital. Gaudet left behind his wife, Felly, and their children, Charles, Vanessa, and Michael. He was 40 years old.

Along with the T2T Stephen Siller Courage Award, other award categories presented were “Young Patriot,” “Salute to Service,” “The Honor Award,” “Faith Award,” and “Heroism Award,” among others.
