On December 28, 2011, Adam Devine was on foot patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan when he stepped on a 7-10 pound pressure plate, causing an improvised explosive device to detonate.
As a result of the explosion, Adam suffered bilateral amputations (above the knee), soft tissue damage to his right arm caused by shrapnel, a broken sacrum, and other injuries. He has endured over 55 surgeries throughout his recovery.
Adam and his wife have two beautiful children, Amya and Brayden. They received a smart home in Nokesville, Virginia in March of 2017.
