Inaugural Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament to be Held on August 12th

Tournament to feature FDNY, NYPD, and Coast Guard Hockey Teams and benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation

Do you have what it takes to step onto the ice against the Coast Guard, New York’s Bravest and Finest?

The first-ever Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament will give one civilian team the opportunity to skate against the NYPD, FDNY, and Coast Guard hockey teams.

One team can earn its way onto the ice by raising funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to support its mission to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and Fallen First Responder families, and smart homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

The civilian team with the highest fundraising total by 4:59 PM ET on August 4, 2023, will earn the privilege to compete in the inaugural Heroes Cup.

The full-day four-team single elimination tournament will take place at Northwell Ice Rink in Eisenhower Park, on Long Island on August 12th.

To review the rules for the civilian team and register your team go to the Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament page. Click here for more information on the tournament, civilian team requirements and to get tickets to this event.

The Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament is a four-team single-elimination tournament with championship and consolation games. Through the daylong event, we will be raising awareness for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and its mission to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Fallen First Responder Program pays off the mortgages for the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty.

Join us on our mission to support fallen first responder families by donating $11 per month at T2T.org.
