On June 8th, 2021 Technical Sergeant Wesley Waide Kubie was killed in a Humvee rollover accident in Salina, Kansas during a routine training operation.

Kubie was born and raised in Kansas and spent his childhood fishing, hunting, playing soccer, running track, and spending time with his family, particularly his grandfather and twin brother. 

Kubie always wanted to serve his country and eventually enlisted in the United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party in 2011. Throughout his ten years of service Kubie had many awards and notable accomplishments under his belt including but not limited to, Joint Terminal Attack Controller program manager, the meritorious service medal, and the Air Force commendation and achievement medals. Kubie served his country with honor and pride, and found great fulfillment through his military career. More than anything, Kubie loved being a father to his three children. 

Technical Sergeant Wesley Kubie is survived by his wife, Abby, and their three children, Jaxson, Wyatt, and Kennedy.
