On July 7, 2022, United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Four Michael Harris passed away from cancer attributed to his military service.

Harris earned a Bachelor of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and served with the United States Army for 25 years. During his extensive career, Harris served as a Combat Engineer, Apache pilot, and was one of very few pilots trusted to participate in Special Ops flights under the cover of darkness. Most recently, Harris was assigned to the 160th “Night Stalkers” SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment).

Harris is remembered as a man of faith, having belonged to the Grace Community Church. He is also remembered as a loving husband and father.

United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Michael Harris is survived by his wife, Mandi, and three daughters, Eliot, Piper and Parker.
