Line of Duty Death: February 2, 2021
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Matthew Peltzer lost his life on Feb. 2, 2021, when his UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed while on an Idaho Army National Guard training mission.
He served in the Idaho National Guard since 2005.
In 2019, he mobilized to Guatemala as a Black Hawk pilot in support of Operation Beyond the Horizon. The 40-years-old leaves behind his wife, Heidi, and their two children Luthien and Iris.
