United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Desiree Nigg passed away on March 23, 2024 after a valiant battle with service-related cancer.
Throughout her honorable career in the military, Nigg was deployed three times to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. In addition to her service in the USMC, she also worked as a Licensed Hairstylist Beautician. In January of 2023, Nigg was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, attributed to her honorable service. She fought courageously before prematurely passing away in March of 2024.
United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Desiree Nigg is survived by her loving husband, Dustin, and their beautiful daughters, Mina, Lucy and Anna.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage of the Nigg family home through the Gold Star Family Home Program.
