Line of Duty Death: October 4, 2006
On October 4th, 2006, Army Staff Sergeant Christopher O’Neil Moudry was killed in action as a result of small arms fire in Taji, Iraq.
Moudry was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was raised in Perry Hall, Maryland alongside his two sisters. As a child Moudry was a big prankster who always had a smile on his face. He was also a member of Boy Scout Troop 746 from a young age. Moudry graduated from Perry Hall High School in 1993 before joining the U.S. Army a few years later.
Moudry officially enlisted in the United States Army in 1995 and was assigned to 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, located in Fort Hood, Texas. Throughout his time with the U.S. Army Moudry earned numerous awards for his outstanding acts of service including but not limited to, the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Army Staff Sergeant Christopher O’Neil Moudry is survived by his fiancee, Nikki, and two sons, Ashton and Chase.
