Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries out its mission to "do good," by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Tunnel to Towers is also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Department • Line of Duty Death: October 10, 2021
Rowan County, North Carolina Master Deputy William Edward Marsh died on October 10th, 2021 from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.
Marsh, a North Carolina native, graduated from North Rowan High School in 1999. He then attended Basic Law Enforcement Training where he graduated in 2001. After his graduation, Marsh began his career as an Officer with China Grove Police Department. In 2012, Marsh took on a new challenge by joining the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department as a reserve deputy while simultaneously working full-time at the Cleveland Police Department. In 2015, March achieved the rank of Master Deputy with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department and continued to work part-time for the Cleveland Police Department. Marsh had numerous awards including but not limited to, his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, Traffic Enforcement, and Investigation Certificate.
Marsh enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing anything outside during his spare time. Friends and family remember him as a family man and profoundly loyal.
Master Deputy William Edward Marsh is survived by his wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Kennedy.
