Artesia Police Department, New Mexico • Line of Duty Death: May 21, 2021

Artesia (New Mexico) Police Department Corporal Thomas Frazier was killed in an automobile crash on US Highway 285, north of Artesia, on May 21, 2021. He was 42 years of age at the time of his death. Corporal Frazier was involved in an active investigation when his vehicle collided with the back of a tractor-trailer that was turning off of the roadway. 

Corporal Frazier had served with the Artesia Police Department for five years and was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. He had previously served 12 years with the Shenandoah County (Virginia) Sheriff’s Office, and served as the chief of the Sun Country Volunteer Fire Department. 

Corporal Frazier is survived by his wife, Allison, and three children.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the mortgage held on the Frazier family’s home.
