New York City Fire Department, New York • Line of Duty Death: January 21, 2019

New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Firefighter Peter Adam Quinn passed away on January 21, 2019 due to 9/11-related illness. The illness developed following his assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He was 54 years old.

Quinn was a career fireman and had been a member of Ladder 106 in Brooklyn since October of 1992. He also spent time at the FDNY Training Academy before retiring due to his health in 2015. 

Known for his sense of humor, strength and generosity, Quinn was a friend to everyone he met. He was a fighter and lived by the motto “Never Give Up.”

FDNY Firefighter Peter Adam Quinn is survived by his wife, Michele, and their four children, Samantha, Ruby, Edward, and Brendan; as well as his five siblings. 

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage of the Quinn family home through the Fallen First Responder Home Program.
