Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Florida • Line of Duty Death: February 17, 2021
On February 17, 2021, Pinellas County Deputy Sheriff Michael Magli, was attempting to lay a tire-deflating device down on the roadway to stop a dangerous drunk driver when the suspect lost control of his vehicle and hit him.
He left behind his wife Stephanie and their two young children.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the family’s mortgage in July 2021 in honor of Independence Day.
Knowing my home is paid off is such a huge weight off my shoulders. To know that our two young children will always have a roof over their head and they can grow up in this home like we always dreamed leaves me speechless. I cannot be more thankful or honored that Tunnel to Towers helped our family and provided our family, my children with the ability to stay in the home that Michael and I created together and the love we shared here. I truly feel honored to be selected as a part of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 and the Foundation. Stephanie Magli
