Line of Duty Death: December 7, 2019

Ken Jones, a 46-year-old firefighter, died while at the scene of a fire in Copper Mountain, CO on December 7, 2019.

Jones served with the Summit Fire and EMS for 20 years. He fell from the roof of a five-story building while he searched for a way to access the fire. It is the first death in the department’s history.

He leaves behind his wife, Keri, son Parker, and daughter Kalee.
