Los Angeles County Firefighter Jonathan Flagler lost his life battling a house fire on January 6, 2022.
While fighting a residential fire in Rancho Palos Verdes, he became trapped and was overcome by fire conditions. He was removed from the building and CPR was immediately performed. He was transported to the hospital where he died a short time later.
Flagler, 47, who successfully saved a family from the house fire that took his life, was a 21-year veteran firefighter.
Firefighter Jonathan Flagler is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has committed to paying off the mortgage held on the Flagler family’s home.
