FBI, Arizona ● Line of Duty Death: January 11th, 2021

On January 11th, 2021 FBI Special Agent Jimmie John Daniels ruptured his Achilles tendon while participating in a tactical shooting course. Three weeks later he developed a blood clot as a result of the injury and suffered a pulmonary embolism. Daniels succumbed to the complications caused by his injuries on February 1st, 2021.

Daniels is remembered by his friends and family as the funniest guy in the room, always ready with a joke for any situation. Daniels cared deeply for his family and helped everyone stay connected. He was the one that would always be there when you needed him—no matter what. Through his work, he exhibited strength and compassion as he served his community.

Before his career in law enforcement, Daniels taught science to at-risk teens in his lifelong effort to help others and make a difference in peoples’ lives. During his time as a Special Agent, Daniels strived to learn and consistently improve his skills so that he could do his job well.

FBI Special Agent Jimmie John Daniels is survived by his wife Natasha, and three children: Chloe, Xander, and Alex.
