34-year-old Paterson Police Officer Francesco Scorpo died on April 12, 2020, Easter Sunday, from complications related to COVID-19. Officer Scorpo joined the department in 2015 and was a member of the patrol and traffic divisions. He is the first member of the Patterson Police Department to die from the virus. Scorpo is survived by his wife, Kristina, a nurse, and his two young sons, 4-year-old Francesco Jr. and 6-month-old Santino.
