Eric Joering

Officer Joering was shot and killed on February 10, 2018 when they responded to a 911 hang-up call in the Westerville Division of Police jurisdiction of Ohio. Despite his mortal wounds, he was able to return fire and wounded the subject. Officer Joering served with the Westerville Division of Police for 17 years. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, and his K-9 partner Sam. Arrangements have been made for Sam to remain with his family. Tunnel to Towers paid off Officer Joering’s mortgage.
