Adeed Fayaz

NYPD Police Officer Adeed Fayaz passed away on February 7, 2023 in the midst of an attempted robbery.

Fayaz was born in Islamabad, Pakistan and was raised in Queens, New York. As a child, Fayaz excelled in school and found enjoyment in cricket, boxing, handball, and swimming. He grew up in a big family where he learned to love and be loved. He and his wife, Madiha, met at a family wedding, where they shared an instant connection. The pair were later married and they brought two beautiful children into the world.

Fayaz joined the New York Police Department on October 23rd, 2017, following in the footsteps of his uncles who were also NYPD officers. He loved to work patrol, help people in need, and halt crime in the city. One of Fayaz’s greatest accomplishments throughout his time of service was passing the test to become a Sergeant. On Saturday February 4th, 2023, Fayaz set out to purchase a vehicle he had seen on Facebook marketplace. When he arrived on the scene it turned out to be a robbery where gunfire was exchanged and Fayaz was fatally shot. He succumbed to his injuries on February 7th, 2023.

Currently, Madiha lives in New York and enjoys her time with her two kids. After Tunnel to Towers supported her and her family, she felt relieved to know her children will have a shelter of their own that their father dreamed of.
