The FDNY’s (Fire Department of New York) Boxing Team presented their Thrilla in Camilla boxing match where they went up against the UK’s West Yorkshire Boxing Team on Friday July 8, 2022 in Rockaway Beach, NY. Proceeds from the boxing match benefited the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Proceeds from the match totaled $30,000 which was donated directly to Tunnel to Towers.

America’s heroes were supported with every ticket purchased while watching the FDNY’s boxers duke it out with firefighters from across the pond. Gates opened at 6PM Friday evening, with the first fight scheduled for 7:30PM.Â
The donation benefits Tunnel to Towers’ In the Line of Duty Program which provides mortgage free homes to our nation’s catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, mortgage free homes to Gold Star families and Fallen First Responder families with young children, and mortgage-free comfort homes for homeless veterans through our Veteran Homelessness program.
Tunnel to Towers is dedicated to honoring the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life bringing others to safety on September 11, 2001. For 20 years, Tunnel to Towers has honored firefighter Stephen Siller’s heroic legacy by supporting America’s heroes who continue to risk life and limb in the line of duty.Â
